SAHR
SAHR
Strategic Advocacy for Human Rights (SAHR) is a peer-led global nonprofit resourcing women and diverse civil society leaders—especially those underrepresented—to shape, reform, and implement laws, policies, and practices that end Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). With teams based in Germany and Singapore, and registration in the United States and Germany, SAHR works in partnership with grassroots and movement leaders across the Global South and East.
Since 2008, SAHR has evolved from a student-led network into a dynamic platform empowering emerging leaders to transform justice systems through advocacy, research, and strategic leadership.
The Challenge & The Opportunity
Violence against women and girls remains the most pervasive human rights violation worldwide. Yet, legal and policy responses frequently fall short—often failing to protect survivors or address intersecting forms of discrimination.
At SAHR, we believe lasting change requires investing in the next generation of women and diverse leaders—equipping them with the tools, mentorship, and networks to engage decisively in decision-making processes, influence governments, and catalyze systemic justice reform.
